Ancient Woodland

To enable visitors to the Heights of Abraham to learn more about the ancient woodland on Masson Hill, a new walkway has been installed to provide easy access to a viewpoint and information panel. In keeping with the woodland, the ramp construction is made of timber with a simple CNC-cut leaf pattern balustrade.

The information panel explains the site's history, the way ancient woodland is classified and the trees and plants native to this area. The ramp also creates a circular route to other paths and provides step-free access around the building, linking the ground floor exhibition with the auditorium and shop on the upper floor.
