Visiting an information panel designed for Scottish Natural Heritage

It was a day of intermittent showers and sunny spells in Banchory, the setting for a recently installed Pearls in Peril project panel overlooking the mighty River Dee. The Dee was a focus for a nationwide European Union funded project to safeguard key habitats of the endangered freshwater pearl mussel.
